I've been griping about my at home scale for weeks now. One moment I would step on that pesky little thing and it would read one number. Then, I would step off and back on and it would read a different number. One time it actually told me that I weighed more with wet hair! Every girl out there knows that cannot possibly be true. Anyhow, I got a new (more expensive) scale thinking for sure that it would be better and more acurate. I was so excited when I saw the box on my porch when I got home from work yesterday. I rushed inside, tore open the box and jumped on. Then, I looked down and BAM it read 5 pounds more than my cheap scale I thought was not good!!! Talk about frustration. Anyhow, someone gave me the great advice to put a 10 pound bag of flour on each scale and see which one reads closest to 10 pounds. Well, I didn't have a 10 pound bag of flour (I love to cook, but I'm not much of a baker) so I used 10 pound weights. And both scales, expensive and cheap, read 10 pounds!! So, now I'm wondering if it's possible for a women to gain and loose 5 pounds in 1 week?
I'm crossing my fingers for that 5 pounds to fall off by WI on Saturday.
Happy Easter!

Blogging
Ok, so I'm slowly becoming a technology freak and thought I needed to join the blogging community! But before I get to that, let me back up and introduce myself. I'm 26 as of today and my husband and I live in very West Texas. I'm a 3rd grade teacher and I constantly battle my weight. I come from a family of 3 siblings and of course I'm the heaviest of them all. Not sure why that is because, besides my younger brother, I'm the most active (and always have been). My wonderful mother-in-law turned me onto Weight Watchers when my husband and I were just engaged. She has been my inspiration all this time and her success motivates me to get back on track when I fall off. And, let me tell you...there have been times when I have fallen off big time!! So there's the reason for the blog...I'm thinking that if I write about my journey then maybe, just maybe, I will stay on track even longer and finally hit my 150 pound goal. I have a long way to go but I know I can get there. My goal here is to share, well, my opinion on all different sorts of things. Not that I think my opinion means anything, but maybe like my mother-in-law, I can help motivate someone somewhere. I'll be sharing recipes, pictures and tons of stories. So...welcome and I hope you enjoy!!
